Jennene Christine Obremski was raised by her grandmother and village of Chuuk in Micronesia. She is a Chuukese interpreter and document translator as well as a writer, poet and digital artist. These stories and legends have been passed down orally for generations and were told to her as a child by her grandmother Rosa Newo and now she has translated and adapted some that she remembers in this book. The book begins with the story of a little girl named Rosa who lives with her grandmother on Chuuk. This story is a semiautobiographical story of a day in Jennene's life as a child on Chuuk with her grandmother. Jennene lives in Maryland with her loving husband of 22 years Kenneth Obremski and their three whip smart kids Andrea, Anthony and Jacob. She also lives with her three dogs Jolie a rescued chug, Tyrone a rescued pit bull and Danielle their puppy, her two cats Vincent and Paul and their bearded dragon Larry.
