The Leatherstocking Tales is a series of novels following the adventures of the hero Natty Bumppo, who was known by European settlers as Leatherstocking, 'The Pathfinder, and the trapper and by the Native Americans as Deerslayer, La Longue Carabine and Hawkeye.
